Bollywood playback Singer Aman Trikha covers Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody

Time to time, I do like to indulge in watching the latest covers by Bollywood singers at YouTube. Whilst many singers prefer to cover retro Bollywood classics, I was very happy to see that my good friend, Bollywood playback singer Aman Trikha, decided to cover his most favourite song from British Rock band Queen ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’. We are both massive fans of Queen (who isn’t?) and so it was no surprise at all for me, when he produced this cover.

Watch Aman Trikha’s Bohemian Rhapsody – a tribute to Freddie Mercury:

Having previously sung with ease in various dialects (variating from Hindi) this was the first time Aman had sung a fully fledged song in English and that too, a very complex composition which is created by Music legend Freddie Mercury. The surprising part of this unique cover, is that all the vocals, the lead and several of the harmony layers are solely performed by Aman himself!

There are many key changes and rhythmic patterns in ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ and to sing it convincingly is a tough job for any singer. ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ includes 3 different Music genres: a Ballad, Opera and Hard Rock but there is no clear cut section for each, which means the singer naturally has to remain on guard and be prepared for each change as it comes. Aman has done a commendable job and once again, has shown versaility in his singing.

This particular cover has dramatically raised the bar for all Bollwood singers who enjoy producing song covers at YouTube.
