Being the biggest Himesh Reshammiya fan there is (!), I am naturally very excited with the forthcoming release of his next film as an actor ‘Teraa Surroor’.
The trailer of the film released yesterday and I was lucky enough to be able to watch it before I left for work that morning (the struggles of juggling online and offline life)! The trailer literally blew me away! It took me a while to get used to a few of the initial “scenes” (that feature in nearly almost every other Bollywood film these days; but still felt kinda weird seeing them in his film) but once I got passed that, I reminisced as soon as I heard the songs Tanhaiyaan, Assalam Vaalekum and Teraa Surroor!

This week, I was able to record my second piano solo from the awesome Bollywood soundtrack of ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’. The song is a love ballad that has been sung and composed by my favourite Himesh Reshammiya. The original has wonderful piano and electric guitar arrangements.
My piano solos are almost like a stripped down version of the song, playing only the melody of the song with my right hand. I particularly enjoyed playing the melody of ‘Bewajah’ due to its rhythm formation and style. One of the last songs I enjoyed playing this much, was the melodious ‘Khaali Salaam Dua’ from the film Shortcut Romeo. Again composed by Himeshji :o)
Hope you all enjoy listening to my latest piano solo!

After a brief gap since my last piano solo of ‘Baaton Ko Teri’, I had the urge to learn to play the beautiful title track of the forthcoming Bollywood film ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’. The films Music has been composed by my favourite music director Himesh Reshammiya and to sing the title track, Himesh has chosen singers Ankit Tiwari and Palak Muchhal.
When it comes to learning the song by ear, this is the quickest I feel that I have ever learnt a song in one go. Either I am improving when it comes to playing by ear, or the song has a very strong melodic quality! I think it is the latter! I would like to thank Himeshji for composing such a wonderful melody that has taken me back to his year of 2007 as a composer (think about the song ‘Tanha Tanha’ from Fear).
Hope you enjoy listening to my Piano rendition of the ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’ title track below:
Feedback is always welcome :o)
