This week my new Music Monday choice, is the SANAM version of the Bollywood classic Neele Neele Ambar Par. The song is originally from the Bollywood film Kalakaar, and has a wonderful combination of melody, lyrics and guitar rifts.
The band SANAM, have done a tremendous job with the song, giving it a modern uplift, whilst keeping its melody stronger than ever. I did have high hopes for them focusing a bit more on the guitar portions of the song, but overall they have done a fine job, with Sanam Puri sounding like this song was specifically created for him to sing.
Check out their video below, which was filmed during their recent tour in Suriname.

I recently talked about the news that India’s RAWStar finalist Mohit Gaur, will be featuring in Arya Entertainment’s next single. It has been revealed that the shooting of the video is well under way, and it will also be featuring upcoming singer Soniyya. Check out some of the stills from the recent video shoot below, also featuring the songs composer Viraal. Listen to Arya Entertainment’s previous songs here.
My favourite golden oldie for the month of June, is World of Our Own by Westlife. Since my blog post about the boyband phenomenon, I have been listening to Westlife songs once again, and I realised just how much I loved World of Our Own.
The song was their first attempt at cracking the United States and I do believe that the song did reasonably well there, as it does have a very strong Backstreet Boys vibe to it. The boys look very stylish and my favourite Westlifer Nicky Byrne, gave all of us a huge surprise in the video, when he revealed that he had chopped off his lovely locks! The song is the title track of their third studio album.
Check out the video below and do let me know if this is one of your favourite old songs too!

June is proving to be a relatively good month for the world of Bollywood Music. This week, I will be talking about 2 new releases from Music label TSeries: Phir Mohabbat Acoustic version and the very first TSeries Mixtape featuring singers Neha Kakkar and Mohammad Irfan.
Singer Jubin Nautiyal is becoming increasingly popular day by day, and this soulful acoustic version of Phir Mohabbat, adds another feather in his cap. I always love to see a singer with a Musical instrument, and so it is very refreshing to see Jubin perform the song with his acoustic guitar. This particular version of the song, features under the TSeries acoustic banner. Phir Mohabbat was originally part of the Murder 2 soundtrack and featured 3 singers on the vocals (Arijit Singh, Mohammad Irfan ans Saim Bhat) the song is composed by Mithoon. Enjoy Jubin’s rendition of Phir Mohabbat below and check out my recent interview with him for BollySpice here.

I recently bought the news to you all that Arya Entertainment will be working with India’s RAWStar finalist Mohit Gaur in their upcoming single. Since then, they have released the news that singer Shibani Kashyap will also be working with them very soon! It is not clear if she will be featuring on the same single as Mohit’s, but I am sure details of this will be revealed soon.
Shibani is most famous for her song Sajana Aa Bhi Jaa from the Bollywood film Waisa Bhi Hota Hai. Shibani’s song with Arya Entertainment has also been composed by Viraal (composer of Albeliya, Pehlo Prem and Piya Reprise). Check out a candid pic from the recent recording session below.
My favourite Musician Himesh Reshammiya recently celebrated the release of his 700th song Every Night and Day from his second album Aap Se Mausiiquii.
For his 700th song release, Himeshji has gone for an international vibe. Romanian aspiring singer Iulia Vantur has also lent her vocals to the track, and as recently revealed on reality show SaReGaMaPa Lil Champs, Music producer Kiran Kamath is also a part of the song.

I am back with three new releases, this new music Monday!
The first one is a groovy remake of the 90’s superhit Daru Vich Pyar Milade. The song is making its second appearance in Bollywood, as it is now part of the Guest in London soundtrack, (the sequel to Athithi Tum Kab Jaoge?) and my good friend Arya Acharya has rapped on the new version of the song! The second version has been recreated by multi-instrumentalist Raghav Sachar. The song first featured on the Tum Bin soundtrack, and originally belongs to the awesome UK band StereoNation. Check out the latest filmi version of the song below:

The second release is a single called Ek Na Ek Din which has been composed by my brother Rishabh Srivastava and has been released on the Universal Music label. This is the first time that Rishabh has worked with singer Ananya Nanda. Judging by his previous songs, it seems that he is very much bringing back meaningful lyrics and strong melodies. You can check out his previous releases here. Enjoy the beautiful composition below:
